Milk quality and mastitis management are some of the major concerns on the dairy farm today. In most cases, these two issues are one in the same. Milk quality issues can also be caused by improper design and setup of the CIP (clean in place) wash system of the pipeline and milking components.  The profit margin in the dairy industry continues to be very tight, therefore it is of the up most importance to reduce the losses to mastitis, poor milking practices and insufficient cleaning.  The financial benefits of a premium milk quality and production program can be easily calculated. However, it is difficult to put a dollar amount on the improvement in attitude of the milking technicians and management.

The goal of these milk quality programs is to reduce the level of mastitis in participating dairy herds with the major emphasis directly on maximizing the net profit per cow as well as improving the quality of the milked shipped from the farm. These programs are based around a well maintained milking facility following a scheduled maintenance program that is monitored by Full Range, the dairy management team, along with milking center and parlor performance testing that is performed by Full Range and their employees.
